The music Strange Fruit Project creates is what I like to call this “Grown Folks Hip-Hop”. Kids don’t let that scare you though. From the intro all the way through “Why Does Summer Have To Leave”, Strange Fruit Project takes you on a sort of moody roller coaster of boom bap highs with their track “Crash” to smooth, funky lows with “Sepia Tone”. Throw in just a little (but not too much) of that dirty south grit and you’ve got M.A.S.K. (Making Art Sound Cool). Incredibly addicting album by an extremely talented group. Download this album or you’re gonna find a horse’s head in your bed when you wake up in the morning, courtesy of ME.
